I also stabilized a few earlier features and made the app a little bit more visually appealing than it was (though it is still extremely basic--I could really use an artist who would like to help make the UI pretty ).
Quick update: I'm starting over, creating a fresh version of the game so as to see how well I can optimize things early on (since I now know exactly what I'm doing). The old version will still be up, but I think I'm gonna try to avoid developing that one any further. You can call this new version 'Epoch 2', if you'd like...
Sorry that I've been sort of out of the loop here for so long. I've been extremely busy with full-time schoolwork but will be continuing to work on this project throughout the year. I am continuing to look for people who are willing to volunteer their time and effort to join my 'programming' staff, which will require a rudimentary understanding of Bubble (which I -swear- is extremely easy to learn if you have just a few weeks' time).
At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to make the most efficient and interesting crafting system that I can, using Bubble as a base. I have some basic crafting systems created, but it needs to be made more efficient. I'm also working on creating a back-end dev/admin console that will make modifying/adding things much easier. If I get some people who wish to volunteer, these would be the two things that we would need to focus on first.
Glad you are all still here, and that the community is growing!
Hi all! Like I said before, I have been extraordinarily busy.
HOWEVER, I have actually solved two major issues that I did not know how to fix with the game.
1. The activity log will now show things appropriately. ACTIVITY WILL NOT DISAPPEAR ANYMORE. 2. I have solved crafting for now. It is going to be a little bit more basic, but it will actually function appropriately.
Everyone has had their accounts deleted, by the way, so there is no use trying to log in for now. I'm going to work to get these things implemented perfectly and then move on to getting construction/buildings working. These things might take a little while because I am in school and am pretty bogged down with work. HOWEVER, after I do get construction working, I WILL FLESH THINGS OUT A LITTLE BIT MORE BY ADDING MORE STONE-AGE OBJECTS/RESOURCES/LOCATIONS, and THEN I WILL REOPEN THE GAME IN A BETA STATE.
Yes, that is right. Once construction is appropriately implemented and I add more resources/objects/and locations to the game, this will be pushed to BETA, and you will be able to play it fully. At that point in time I may need to start asking for donations, but we will see what happens when we get there.
Also, I know that you are all probably gone... but if you aren't--STAY TUNED. I legitimately solved two of the biggest issues that was sidelining this project, so I am going to now be able to push forward with the development!
